Born in Tokyo, Yuka began piano lessons at six and continued until fourteen. At seven, she moved to London, performing a solo recital at St. James Church at ten. After leaving the UK, she studied law and international relations in Japan and the U.S., then worked as a consultant in Tokyo before resuming piano a decade ago. Now based in New York as a marketing operations professional at an IT company, she pursues solo and chamber music studies and is a member of the Dragonfly Trio, an amateur piano trio ensemble. She also loves to play her harpsichord and has a dog named Fuga.
