David fell in love with music after immigrating to the US at age 10 from Taiwan and asked his parents for piano lessons 2 years later. He studied privately with Marion Zarzeczna through high school and studied further studies with Thomas Schultz at Stanford University. After a hiatus, he studied with Corey McVicar at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has participated in and been a prize winner at several amateur competitions. He plays chamber music, including with his 9-year old twins. He works as a software engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area and maintains a garden of several hundred roses.
